Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH)

Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) is a Boston-based nonprofit developer, owner and operator to over 14,000 affordable homes in thirteen states and the District of Columbia. POAH’s mission is to preserve, create and sustain affordable, healthy homes that support economic security and access to opportunity for all. POAH Communities is our property management company, which oversees more than 100 POAH properties.

Landon Bone Baker

Landon Bone Baker is a Chicago based architecture firm that utilizes innovative designs and community outreach for neighborhood planning and the development of affordable housing. LBBA previously worked with POAH on The Woodlawn Park revitalization which replaced the Grove Parc Plaza Apartments from 2011 to 2015.

Walsh Group

Walsh Group, a versatile Chicagoland based multidisciplinary construction company that has worked on commercial, hospitality and residential projects, is the preconstruction GC for this development. The Walsh Group is on of the largest multifamily residential builders in the United States.

GMA

Founded in 2009, GMA is licensed, bonded, and insured in the State of Illinois, and is a Minority and Veteran-Owned Small Business. GMA is fully integrated to provide General Contracting, Construction Management, Design-Build and Cost Engineering services. GMA is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois with regional offices in Dallas, Texas and New York, New York. GMA is committed to developing people that will transform communities. GMA lives its mission through mentorship of its employees as well as providing job and training opportunities for members of the communities in which the firm works. GMA seeks work that improves quality of life for underserved communities, increases operational efficiency for the federal government, and provides sustainability for future generations.

POAH Communities

POAH Communities has specialized in the professional management of affordable multifamily housing for more than 15 years and currently manages all of POAH’s subsidized and market apartments totaling over 12,000 units, including over 2700 here in Illinois. POAH Communities has a 400+ person staff. The apartment communities managed by POAH Communities range vary in age, size, geography and style, including single family units, townhouses, garden-style and high-rise apartment buildings. POAH Communities’ broad experience and knowledge provide both POAH and its financing partners with confidence that their properties are performing at their maximum potential.
